Hi, I’m Cathy!

I obtained my real estate license in 1994. Real Estate has been my passion ever since. Interest rates were around 9% back then and the MLS was run on a DOS system. There were still MLS books floating around and there was NO EMAIL! Soon after, I landed in an assistant position with a mega producer. Lynn was bad ass. She was born to sell real estate and she taught me everything I know. After burning out in 1999, she sold me her business and said goodbye.

Lynn prepared me well. I made my own changes by applying my softer personality. I realized that the “sale” wasn’t as important to getting repeat clients and referrals. This cost me production but my confidence and appreciation for happy clients swelled. My husband Tom, a graphic designer, joined me a few years later as the internet boomed. His talents with marketing, photography and all things graphic really helped us to stand out at a time when we were all learning what the internet was all about.

I was never a mega producer with a huge team but I’ve always been pretty busy. I had no idea what my total production over the years has been until I just looked it up in the MLS. The records only go back to 2002. Since that time, I’ve sold 323 units totaling over $68M. It’s no Million Dollar Listings of NY but it’s small ball, back breaking, key slinging residential real estate sales in the Midwest. I really can’t wait to share some stories!

Fast forward to 2019. After going full throttle for so many years, our world stopped. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given months to live. Did I mention that I’m a medical miracle? The short version? I’m blessed beyond measure to have had success with a clinical trial of immunotherapy and I’ve been stable since starting this trial on March 13, 2020.
